Greg D. Luck, CPA, CA Email: luck@ktld.ca  Greg received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UBC in 1982 and his CA designation in 1985.  Greg obtained extensive US and Canadian tax experience while working at Price Waterhouse until 1992.  Greg completed the “In-depth Tax Course” with the Canadian Tax Foundation and later taught the “Practitioners Course”.  Greg’s preferred areas of practice include:  Income tax planning Owner managed businesses – accounting, financing and taxation.

David Fairholm, CPA, CA

David grew up in Richmond, BC, graduating from Steveston Secondary School in 1991. David started his working life as a framing contractor, building single family homes in Metro Vancouver. After 10 years, he had a work place accident which changed the course of his career.

Through the recovery process, David worked retail while figuring out what to do with his life. After some career counseling, it was determined the best career fit was accounting.

At age 30, David went back to school. He also started working for Fairholm & Company (his dad’s firm). He obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration from Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

At that point, David left Fairholm & Company to article with a large regional firm with diverse experience opportunities. In 2015, David obtained his CPA, CA designation. To broaden his horizons, David worked in industry for 2 charitable organizations.

David realized he missed working with a diverse range of clients and has started back in public practice, reopening Fairholm & Company. In October 2021, Fairholm & Company merged with KTL Chartered Professional Accountants and David joined as a Partner.

David is married, and has three children. For fun, David coaches soccer and is active with a local church.

 

 

Daniel Labarca, CPA, CA

Daniel obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in Venezuela and immigrated to Canada in 2003. In 2006, he received the Diploma in Accounting from the Sauder School of Business in UBC and in 2013 became a CPA, CGA.

He started his exposure in public accounting in 2004, in a small CPA accounting firm where he learned firsthand the accounting and tax processes and procedures for small businesses.

In 2007, he moved to a mid-size CPA accounting firm where he received the experience on assurance services in both private and public companies. This allowed Daniel to travel as an auditor to countries in North and South America.

Later in 2012, he joined a CPA firm in downtown Vancouver until he decided to go as a consultant and sole practitioner opening his own company in 2014.

In October 2021, Daniel became a partner in KTL Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. where he was a consultant since 2014.

Daniel provides a wide range of accounting and tax services for individuals and private corporations, including Cross Border Tax Compliance. His favorite hobbies include travelling, music, and movies.

Peter M Kozak, CPA, CA 

Peter received his designation in 1977. He articled with Touche Ross and had been practicing in Richmond since 1983.
