CERTIFYING ACCEPTANCE AGENT - Individual Taxpayer Identification Number or ITIN

Since 2003, Greg Luck has been acting as a "CERTIFYING ACCEPTANCE AGENT" on behalf of the IRS. Greg is one of the few individuals with this status in British Columbia.

Certifying Acceptance Agents are authorized to assist you in obtaining an ITIN and certify your ITIN application (Form W-7).

General Summary:

An ITIN is a tax processing number, issued by the Internal Revenue Service for certain resident and nonresident aliens, their spouses and dependents.

Only individuals who are required for tax purposes and/or required to file US tax returns are eligible to receive an ITIN.

A taxpayer who needs an ITIN must complete Form W-7 (Application for IRS Individual Taxpayer Identificiation Number) and submit it to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) along with other supporting documents.
